Omaha Royals

Having a Hometown AAA Baseball Team is pretty cool. Omaha, Nebraska is home of the OMAHA ROYALS, AAA team for the Kansas City Royals. When I was little I thought that it was the Yankees farm team and that someday they would send down Derek Jeter, or Mike Mussina. Alas, I soon figured out that they where the minor league team of the Kansas City Royals. I still cheered for them and I still do. The Royals are thinking of moving out of Omaha to Canada or Texas. If they leave this means no more baseball in Omaha, unless the Yankees answer my plea and put even a single A or AA team here. Please if you would Like this to happen please write me about it. thanks

Be Brave

Under the request of the my grandpa, I will know tell you about the exciting world of THE BRAVES. The braves we know, used to be a very spoiled team. After the playoff stretch of 1993 – 2005. Right now they are aging. Chipper Jones had a good season last year, but isn’t getting any younger. Same with John Smoltz and Tim Hudson. They really need to take advantage of the free agent market.Chipper Jones.jpg

Some players they would maybe like to go after Jake Peavy, and Milton Bradly. Bradly would help their outfield and their hitting a lot. A Peavy, Smoltz, and Husdon, is almost like the Maddux, Galvine, Smoltz of old. The braves could do something big if they chose to.

Bye old Buddy

If you read my previous entry on ” my team”.  Mike Mussina was in it. He was the second pitcher I knew . And now it’s time to say good bye. Mike I knew you since 2005. You where my favorite and now. Good bye old friend good bye. Also if for some reason you get a card asking for an autograph you know where it came from. Bye #35 and future HOF.Mike Mussina.jpg

Would You Do It?

I was once asked, would you take a year off your life to have your team win the world series?

At first one would probably think no way, but after a while you think that could be one of the best moments of your life. So the real question is would you make your life better or extend it.

If there was no baseball the world would most likely be no different, but I can tell you one thing, I would not be the same me I am today.

Bernie Williams Tribute

Bernie Williams.jpg

This is my Tribute to my favorite Modern player ( and yes I know he retired) He is one of the most down right classy players of all time. He never bragged, he stood up for teammates, and I must say the 3rd best yankee center fielder. ( behind Joe D and Mickey Mantle)
I will say, thanks Bernie for many great seasons. I will tribute many more players and I will even make a All Star team.

Sorry

THE QUOTE

There are three things in my life which I really love:  God, my family, and baseball.  The only problem – once baseball season starts, I change the order around a bit.  ~Al Gallagher, 1971

I think every baseball fan feels this at least once in their life.
I love the way spring makes me a jittery and excited. I dream about it
and think about it. My grades usually slide a bit too. Their is nothing like
Fresh cut grass and the smell of hot dogs. Too bad it’s November.
